Asian inspired Spicy Crab

This Asian inspired Spicy Crab dish is a fantastic way to surprise and impress your dinner guests. You can substitute any type of crab legs if you don’t want to scare your dinner guests with any entire crab.


2 lbs. fresh snow or king crab ( or whole crab as seen in picture)

3 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup onion, chopped
1 red chili, minced
1 inch ginger, grated
1 tbs. chili sauce
1 cup diced roma tomatoes
1 tbs. soy sauce
2 tbs. fish sauce
Olive oil, for cooking
Chicken broth

Sliced tomato, for garnish
Cilantro, for garnish
Cabbage leaves, for garnish


1. Heat oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Sautee the garlic, red chili, ginger, and diced onion for three minutes. Deglaze with a splash of chicken broth.
2. Add the chili sauce, diced tomatoes, soy sauce and fish sauce. Simmer until the tomatoes begin to break down, about 10 minutes.
3. Wrap the crab in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
4. Serve the crab topped with the sauce and garnished with cabbage, cilantro and sliced tomatoes.
