Classic Italian Margherita Pizza Recipe

This Margherita Pizza recipe is always a classic italian recipe that you can bust out whenever you need something to please your kids or impress your Italian friends or family. The beauty is in the simplicity of ingredients.

To make things easy, you can purchase Prepared pizza dough at most stores these days, or if you really are in a hurry you can buy pre-cooked crust as well.

Classic Italian Margherita Pizza Recipe

Rest of Ingredients:

1 large can of San Marzano tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbs. olive oil
6 ounces fresh mozzarella, shredded
1 cup diced roma tomatoes
Basil, minced

1. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees. Roll out the pizza dough and lay across a pizza stone. In a bowl, add the San Marzano tomatoes and crush them with your hands. Add olive oil and garlic, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Spread the sauce across the pizza dough. Top with the diced tomatoes and then with the cheese. Finish by sprinkling minced basil across the top.
3. Bake for 12 to 17 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
