Deep Fried Banana Slices Recipe

There are not many simple desserts better than Fried Banana Slices. This recipe allows you to add a little bit of elegance to this typically fair food guilty pleasure. There is just something about the deep fried goodness of bananas.

Deep Fried Banana Slices Recipe

Ingredients

5 ripe bananas, sliced at an angle

1 cup flour
2 tbs. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 lemon, juiced
2 eggs
½ cup milk

Oil, for frying
Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions

· Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt, and then the lemon juice, eggs and milk, in two separate bowls. Add the wet ingredients to the dry, whisking smooth. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to stiffen.
· Heat oil to 350 degrees. Dip the banana slices in the batter and then fry for 7 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown.
· Remove to paper towels to drain, sprinkling with sesame seeds immediately.
