Deep Fried Shrimp Recipe

Main Ingredients

2 lb. shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail on
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/3 cup flour
Salt and pepper
3 large eggs
Oil, for frying

Dipping Sauce Ingredients

1 cup soy sauce
½ cup rice wine vinegar
3 tbs. fresh ginger, grated
4 cloves garlic, grated
1 tbs honey
2 tsp. sesame oil
Crushed red pepper, to taste


1. Dust the shrimp lightly with flour. Heat oil in a large pot to 350.
2. Season the panko with salt and pepper and whisk the eggs until foamy and smooth. Dip the shrimp in the eggs and then in the panko. Set the shrimp on a wire rack.
3. Combine the sauce ingredients. Fry the shrimp, about 4 minutes each, until cooked through and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
4. Serve with the soy-based dipping sauce.
