If you have ever been to France you'll have fond memories of the simplicities of a traditional French Breakfast which usually consists of a freshly baked croissant, some butter, jam and a cafe or espresso. Below is how to make your own fresh croisssants.

French Breakfast Recipe

Fresh croissants
Fresh butter

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 tbs. sugar
1 cup warm water
½ tsp. salt
2 ½ cups flour

· Dissolve the yeast and sugar in water for 10 minutes until foamy. Combine the salt and flour and then add to the yeast mixture slowly, mixing until the dough comes together. Turn in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 2 hours.
· Roll the dough into a rectangle about ¾ inches thick and then roll the dough in on itself creating a long, tubular shape. Place the roll on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for one hour.
· Preheat the oven to 400. Cut diagonal marks into the top of the roll and bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
· Serve with butter, jam and croissants.
