Heart Healthy Grilled Salmon Steak

Here’s a heart healthy meal your doctor would be proud of you for. This grilled salmon steak recipe is also a great meal if you are trying to lose a few pounds. This recipe calls for just the most simple of ingredients so the true flavor of the fish and veggies are the stars of this meal.


Salmon fillets
2 sprigs fresh thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Olive oil
Grape tomatoes, halved
Red pepper
Lime slices, for garnish and spraying


1. Heat a grill to medium. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets and season with salt and pepper. Remove the leaves from one thyme sprig and press this into the fillets.
2. Season asparagus and broccoli with olive oil, salt and pepper. Wrap in foil.
3. Grill over medium heat until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 8 minutes per side. Grill the vegetables for about 20 minutes wrapped in foil.
4. Spritz the fish with lime juice. Plate with the remaining vegetables and the asparagus and broccoli.
