Craving some Home Made Corn Dogs without having to go to store and grab one that's been sitting under a heater for hours or if you happen to not be at a carnival?

Homemade Corn Dog Recipe

1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 ½ cups whole milk
1 lemon, juiced

8 all-beef hotdogs
Flour, for dusting
Peanut oil, for frying

1. Heat oil to 375.
2. Combine corn meal, flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl. Combine the milk and lemon juice in a pitcher and let sit for about 10 minutes. Pour into the bowl, whisking until smooth. Let this sit for about 15 minutes to thicken, and then pour the batter into a tall glass, leaving a bit of room at the top.
3. Skewer corndogs on wood skewers or wood chopsticks. Dust lightly with flour. Dip in the batter, shaking off the excess. Fry for five to six minutes, or until golden brown.
4. Drain on paper towels and serve with ketchup and mustard.
