Hot Gooey Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream

There are not many people that will not love this Hot Brownie with Ice Cream recipe. It’s simple but absolutely delicious especially when the brownies are hot out of the oven and gooey delicious.


1-½ cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
12 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
1 stick butter, unsalted
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract

8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup heavy cream

Quality vanilla ice cream


1. Lightly grease a 13 by 9 baking pan. Heat the butter in a medium sauce pan and then melt in the dark chocolate, whisking thoroughly. Combine the sugar and eggs and then mix this into the chocolate butter. Add the vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl, and then add it to the wet.
2. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees, until a toothpick comes out almost clean. Let cool in the pan.
3. Heat the heavy cream on medium-low and whisk in the chocolate. Glaze the brownies, reserving some for garnish, and then cut into squares. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Drizzle with extra sauce if desired.
