How To Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Here is a simple recipe for making chocolate covered strawberries. The secret is to use a bowl inside a saucepan for melting and keeping your decadent chocolate smooth and flowing while coating your strawberries.


1 lb. fresh strawberries, rinsed and patted dry
8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1 tbs. salted butter


1. Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl sized to fit inside, yet not touching, the bottom of a saucepan. Add a few inches of water to the saucepan.
2. Bring the water up to a low simmer and then turn the heat off. Place the bowl on top of the pan. The bowl should not touch the water. Whisk the chocolate until melted and smooth. Add the butter and whisk to combine.
3. Drizzle the sauce over the strawberries just before serving.
