How To Make Fried Quail Eggs

By: Sheila Reynolds

The secret to cooking Fried Quail Eggs is mastering how to crack the shells without breaking the yoke. Below are the tips you'll need to follow to cook the perfect fried quail eggs.

How To Make Fried Quail Eggs

1 dozen quail eggs
2 tbs olive oil
Salt, to taste

1. Heat olive oil in a large, non-stick skillet over medium heat.
2. Tap the side of a quail egg with a sharp knife and then open the shell over a shallow dish. Quail eggs are much tougher than chicken eggs, and attempting to crack it on the counter or with your fingers will result in a broken yolk.
3. Gently slide the egg into the pan. Repeat with each additional egg.
4. Season with salt and fry until the whites are set. Do not flip the eggs. Remove to a plate to serve.
