How to Make Perfect Pancakes


1 ½ cups of flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbs. sugar
1 ¼ cups whole milk
1 egg
3 tbs unsalted butter
1 tsp. vanilla


1. Add the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar to a sifter. Sift twice into a large mixing bowl.
2. In a small bowl, melt the butter and add the eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour this into the middle of the flour mixture and stir until smooth.
3. Heat a pan to medium-high, coating lightly with butter or oil. Cook the pancakes, about ¼ of the mixture per each, on one side until the top is bubbling and the edges are browned. Flip and brown on the second side before serving.
