How To Make The Perfect Fried Egg


2 eggs
1 tsp. unsalted butter
Salt, to taste


1. Preheat a small, nonstick pan to medium low heat. Melt the butter in the pan, using the back of a spatula to spread it around.
2. Crack the eggs into the pan carefully, being sure to not break the yolk. Season with salt.
3. Cook until the whites are set. Remove to a plate, sliding them out of the pan rather than picking them up; this helps to keep the yolks intact.

Note: You can flip the eggs carefully and continue cooking until the yolk is how you like it. About 30 seconds for over easy, one to two minutes for over medium, and three minutes for well done.
