Pickled Blueberries recipe

By: Sheila Reynolds

This Pickled Blueberries recipe is a creative dessert snack you'll love. I absolutely love blueberries and I also love pickled foods. I was not really too sure how I felt about consuming pickled blueberries though. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the sweet taste of the blueberries and the sour flavor of the pickled sauce mixed together.

When I make pickled blueberries for other people I actually prefer to wait until after they taste them to tell them what they are. I've discovered that a lot of people really tend to like this tasty treat, but are hesitant to try it if you tell them what it is first. If you are looking for a dish that really has a pop to it, you cannot go wrong with this tasty little snack.

3 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. of whole cloves
1 tsp. of whole allspice berries
1 1/2 cups of red wine vinegar
2 quarts of fresh blueberries, washed and picked
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
