Pork Ribs in Barbecue Sauce

Here is a classic Pork Ribs in Barbecue Sauce recipe you and your family will love. No smoker required to pull off these beauties. This recipe calls for using your oven and tightly wrapped aluminum foil to seal in the heat and steam to make these ribs tender. For good measure, these fried potato shreds are a great compliment to the sweetness of the bbq sauce.

Pork Ribs in Barbecue Sauce Recipe


2 lbs. pork ribs
Salt and pepper, to taste
Bottled barbecue sauce
1 lb. russet potatoes, shredded
Oil, for frying


1. Season the ribs with salt and pepper. Place on a rimmed baking sheet and cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 300 degrees for two hours.
2. Fill a bowl with cold water and add the shredded potatoes. Soak for 30 minutes. Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry with paper towels.
3. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350 degrees. Heat a grill to medium. Fry the potato shreds in batches until golden brown, draining on paper towels. Grill the ribs for 20 minutes, flipping once, until lightly charred and warm.
4. Remove the ribs to a serving platter. Top with barbecue sauce and serve with fried potatoes.
