Spicy Grilled Shrimp Skewer Recipe

This Spicy Grilled Shrimp Skewer Recipe packs quite a punch and will be a sure hit at your next BBQ. The key to this recipe is the intense flavor the shrimp will absorb during the marinating process so when you quickly grill them, you’ll be hitting your taste buds in all the right places.

Spicy Grilled Shrimp Skewer Recipe


2 lbs. shrimp, deveined with shells on
½ cup hot sauce
½ cup olive oil
1 tbs. butter, melted
1/8 cup honey
1 tbs chili powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
Bamboo skewers, soaked


1. Combine the hot sauce, oil, butter, honey, garlic, and chili powder in a large plastic bowl. Remove about ½ cup to another bowl, reserving for basting. Season with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
2. Preheat an outdoor grill to 350 degrees. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and thread them onto the skewers. Grill until curled and opaque, basting with the sauce as desired.
