Strawberries and Cream Turnovers

This amazing Strawberries and Cream Turnover dessert recipe is a great creative twist on the classic turnover. Most everyone has tried apple or cherry turnovers, and while they are loved, they are no longer creative. You can take the turnover to the next level by changing a few of the ingredients and make this mouth watering dish. Have it as an easy breakfast, or a light dessert following any meal. No one will believe that you made these yourself, and you will continue to receive complements weeks later.


3 Sheets of Puff Pastry, thawed
4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup of Granulated Sugar
½ tsp of Vanilla Extract
½ tsp of Lemon Zest
1 Egg Yolk

For the Filling
¼ cup of Strawberry Preserves
1 cup of Chopped Strawberries
¼ cup of Granulated Sugar
2 tsp of Lemon Juice
2 tsp of Corn Starch
Pinch of Salt
Egg Wash (one egg beaten with 1 tbsp of water)
Powdered Sugar, optional
