Traditional Russian Breakfast

This traditional Russian Breakfast will bring back memories from your homeland or a recent visit you want to relive. Impress your Russian friends or family with this russian classic breakfast dish.

Traditional Russian Breakfast


Tvorog or cottage cheese
Sliced smoked cheese
Seeded rolls

1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup milk
Olive oil, for frying


1. Preheat a skillet to medium and add some oil. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl, stirring thoroughly. Add the egg, yogurt, and milk, whisking smooth. Fry the batter in the pan, in small discs until browned and cooked through on both sides.
2. Slice the kielbasa and Cervelat and cook gently in a skillet until heated through. Slice the cheese and arrange with the sausages on a platter.
3. Arrange the Tvorog and rolls with the remaining ingredients and serve.
